NMIT Admission Process 2024
Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology admits students to undergraduate (BE), diploma, postgraduate (M.Tech, MBA, MCA), and doctorate (PhD) programmes. Admissions to BE programmes are made through the Karnataka Government's KCET tests, which are followed by a counselling procedure, whereas admissions to postgraduate studies are made through entrance tests (PGCET/CMAT/KMAT/GATE). Academics & Faculty : I chose NMIT based on references and other parameters. This was certainly a very good choice as the college gave me a platform to develop as a well rounded individual. Entrance Exams & Admissions : I opted for this college through Karnataka CET. In 2006, the cutoff was around 8000-13000 in Karnataka CET. Currently, the cutoff is CET rank between 4,000 to 6,000.
Placements & Internships : We had multiple companies who visited for college placements. The key companies are Infosys and Accenture. Besides, the Indian Air Force was also a part of the recruitment drive. The alumni network is great.
Fees & Scholarships : Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology, [NMIT] Bangalore Fee Structure. The course fee is about INR 4 Lakh. I entered through Karnataka CET and I got a scholarship.
Academics & Faculty : I did my B.E (Information Science & Engineering) from Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology (NMIT) college. The college has good campus and has very nice facilities. I stayed in the college hostel and is good. For academics, they have one of the finest staff and well-equipped labs. Professors encourage students to learn practical applications. The college has very good placement cell.

Fees & Scholarships : Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology, [NMIT] Bangalore Fee Structure. Fee for my course was 2 Lakhs for two years. For Nepalese students, Indian embassy in Nepal provides scholarship for NMIT.
Academics & Faculty : The PG courses are well managed so as to prepare you for the current technologies and industrial needs. Experienced Professors and faculties guide you in the course and research work.
College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : College is situated outside the main city which makes the environment peaceful. The infrastructure is large accomodating four boys hostels and two girls hostels with two huge grounds. Also the hostel facilities are good. The hostel mess is the best as I have seen till now. The hygiene is well maintained and all the students and faculties shares same mess.
Clubs & Associations : There are different clubs in the colleges. Students and parents from whole bangalore attend the main fest ANADHYANTA. Various competitions, fashion shows, demos, exhibition from all departments are showcased and the main attraction of the fest is the concert where every year well known celebrities perform.
Placements & Internships : I got internship in KPIT Technologies. The stipend was around 15k -20k. Most IT companies are linked with the college. Every batch around 90% students gets placed and the average salary ranges from 5lakh pa to above 15 lakh.

Fees & Scholarships : College fee ranges differently depending on entry criteria. If the entry is through government exam, the fee will be considerably less. Scholarship depends on merit and performance and category the person falls into.
Academics & Faculty : Class timings are fairly strict and properly conducted. Exams are questions are well designed for students. Overall experience in college is good.
College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : Lot of hostel buildings are there for both boys and girls. Hostel charges reasonably. Some PGs also exist nearby to college which also charge reasonable fee. Food in college is good and dishes are different for persons with different eating habits. Average cost per person is 60 Rs. All other facilities are fairly nice.
Clubs & Associations : Many groups are made within college for entertainment activities and project related activities. Every year once the annual day is celebrated. Other than that there are few workshops, festival celebrations conducted grandly. Life in college is very comfortable.
