Check out term-wise evaluation schemes, experiments, and activities to prepare and score well in your class 12th Physics practicals. Get to know other details related to CBSE Class 12th Physics Practical.
For the academic session of 2022, the exams will be conducted twice a year. Students have to give two practicals for CBSE Class 12th Physics for Term 1 and 2. However, the CBSE Class 12th Physics Practical contains 30 marks which will now be divided into two terms, and hence, both the terms will be 15 marks each. Students must know the types of experiments and activities to perform to ace the Term 1 and 2 examinations.

The CBSE is responsible for conducting class 12th physics exams every year. The CBSE class 12th physics exam is divided into theory and practical exams, constituting 100 marks. The board recently decided to change the exam pattern and mark scheme along with the syllabus/curriculum. Furthermore, the syllabus has been reduced by 30% in all the streams' subjects.
One of the most significant courses in Class 12 is Physics. As the CBSE test approaches, students become preoccupied with studying for various courses. To fully comprehend all of the ideas in CBSE 12th standard Physics, students must be familiar with the experiments and theorems, laws, and numbers. We have provided all the information regarding the CBSE class 12th physics practical, like the evaluation scheme, experiments, and activities to prepare and score well.
About CBSE 12th Physics Practical Exam
Students must submit the following records at the time of the CBSE class 12 Physics practical exam:
Term 1: Schools will conduct the first term practical examinations by CBSE guidelines. Students must submit a record of at least 4 experiments and 3 activities to be demonstrated by the teacher at the first term test.
Term 2: Schools will organize the second term practical examinations by CBSE guidelines, and internal and external observers will conduct vivas. The teacher must demonstrate at least 4 Experiments and 3 Activities in the record that students must provide at the Term 2 examination.
CBSE 12th Term 1 Physics Practical
The board decided to change its curriculum and its exam pattern and marking scheme. For the academic year 2022, the syllabus has been reduced by 30%. The marking scheme for CBSE class 12th Term 1 Physics practical examinations is here.
Term 1 Evaluation Scheme
Time Allowed: Three hour Max. Marks: 30
Two experiments to be performed by students at time of examination | 8 marks |
Practical record [experiments and activities] | 2 marks |
Viva on experiments, and activities | 5 marks |
Total | 15 marks |
Experiments assigned for Term I

resistor/rheostat, key, ammeter and voltmeter. Mark the components that are not
connected in proper order and correct the circuit and also the circuit diagram.
CBSE 12th Term 2 Physics Practical
The Term 2 examinations will be held in March-April (tentative) according to their newly introduced CBSE guidelines. Practicals for the same will be conducted a month before the commencement of the main Term 2 exams. Given below is the table are the marks distribution of CBSE class 12th Term 2 Physics practicals:

Note:
Senior Secondary Education is a stage of transition from general education to discipline-based focus on curriculum. Students who have chosen science have physics as one of the core subjects for students pursuing a career in science. Physics as a subject requires clarity of concept and practice. Therefore, students are required to be aware of the CBSE class 12th physics practical experiments and activities.
