Bhagwan Singh
Bhagwan might have become famous for his rowing performance at the 2018 Asian Games, which won him a Medal and the National Gold Medal for Rowing, but his journey was exceptional even before that. He was pursuing journalism from Chandigarh University when he was forced to drop his dreams of reporting due to his father's sickness. Bhagwan joined the Indian Army after that in 2012, and the rest is history.
He was immediately spotted as a rower and became the best that the Army had to offer.
Bhagwan was part of the team that participated in the Rio Olympics, and his team won a medal in the Asian Games. Of the entire rowing team of India, the vast majority are army officers, highlighting the importance of people like Bhagwan and his phenomenal skills.

Tanya Mittal
An entrepreneur, Miss Tourism Universe 2018, and a TedX Youth speaker, Tanya is a self-made millionaire who started her company with only Rs 500. She is the founder of HandMadeLove, a handicraft business company that she started at the age of 19 and brought in millions by the age of 25. She won two beauty pageants and was applauded by the president of India for her accomplishments. Tanya gives motivational talks to young people struggling with their issues as a TedX speaker too.
Tanya is the awardee of the Nari Shakti award and the Youngest Woman Achiever award by Dr Shashi Tharoor. She is involved with several animal NGOs and has personally adopted an elephant and numerous cows to protect them from poachers.

Jagjot Singh
An NCC cadet from Chandigarh University, Jagjot Singh, managed to get commissioned into the Indian Army as an Officer in the Short Service Commission. He is now a Lieutenant whose accomplishments have brought great prestige to Chandigarh University. Lt. Jagjot Singh is part of the Deccan horse team of the Indian Army as a commissioned officer.
His time at Chandigarh university taught him how to balance his studies along with his duties. The result is that he is serving one of the most decorated units in the Indian Army right now.

Shashi Chopra
Shashi is a woman boxer who is an international medalist in the sport. She hails from Haryana and has participated in and won numerous boxing matches in that state. She later went on to the national levels and has now made a name for herself in the international boxing scene. Sashi is the gold medalist of the Junior Women Haryana State Boxing Championship and also scores another gold in the Junior Boxing Championship at Bhiwani.
Shashi has represented India in the Women's Youth World Boxing Championship, where she competed against world champions and gave a great showing. She picked up a silver medal at the Ahmet Cormet tournament in Istanbul, and her string of victories has only continued to expand since.

Sumit Malik
Sumit is an alum forever grateful to Chandigarh University for the opportunity that came his way. In 2015, the university introduced American Football as a sport, a year after Sumit joined the institute. He became a part of the team almost instantaneously when the coach saw him playing by his lonesome, and six months later, he won his first silver medal at the All-India Inter-University Championship. From then on, CU dominated American Football, with Sumit at the head.
When the time came for a national team to be built to represent India in the CSIT-American Football World Championship, Sumit proved to be up to the task and was one of the 23 selected from India. The team dazzled the world and came out with a Silver medal in the world championship.

Trilok Singh
An entrepreneur who founded his company "Gearr Technologies" during his student days at CU. It is an innovation-based bicycle manufacturing company, the first of its kind in India. Trilok Singh is an inspiration to students wanting to open up their businesses and be their boss. His start-up has been backed and funded by the Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India. "Gearr Technologies" has already applied for three design patents and is continuously going for more.
They were awarded and recognized as the Green Company of the Year 2017 by Thapar University Punjab to promote bicycling. Trilok also received the Genesis Start-Up Award for his company and has been engaged in ensuring that it remains a sustainable and affordable option for all customers.

Parry G
Prikshit Gupta, aka Parry G, is India's first-ever rapper to feature in India's Got Talent grand finale. He is a Bollywood rapper who is famous for his playback singing. His albums include Dobaara: See Your Evil, Drive, and PM Narendra Modi. His song Ek Do Teen was the Best Bollywood Part Song of 2018. Parry is known for his multitude of complex rhymes, and it was this talent that got him to the finale of India's Got Talent.
Though Parry pursued engineering from CU, his experiences in the university led him to become what he is today. The bevy of talented faculty, the interactions with peers, and the alumni of his time all led to his blossoming as an incredible rapper today.
