Mr.Kanwar Pal Gujjar, the Education Minister of Haryana, and the minister of Forest, Tourism, Hospitality, Art & Cultural Affair of Haryana since 14th November 2019. From a 20% literacy rate, there is no looking back for Haryana today as it has evolved into a better position with a literacy rate of 67.91%, comparatively higher than the national average, at 64.8%.

What is Ministry of Education of India?
The Ministry of education is the ministry of the Government of India which is responsible for the implementation of the National Policy of Education. The ministry is further divided into two departments the first is the Department of School Education and Literacy, which deals with primary, secondary and higher secondary education, adult education and litreacy. And, the second is the Department of Higher Education which deals with university level education, technical education and the scholarships.
Currently the Education minister of India is Mr. Dharmendra Pradhan.India have had the Ministry of Education since 1947, in 1985 Rajiv Gandhi Government changed its name to the Ministry of The Human Resource Development and with the public announcement of newly drafted National Education Policy 2020 by the Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi it was renamed back to the Ministry of Education.
About Education Minister of Haryana
The education minister of Haryana for the current year 2021 is Mr Kanwar Pal Gujjar, who hails from Yamuna Nagar Haryana and was born on 8th May 1960. He completed his education at three places Mukand Lal National College, Kurukshetra University, and Maharaja College.
Gujjar won the assembly section in 2019 for the third consecutive time from Jagadhiri Vidhan Sabha Constituency. He is known to be among the few senior Haryana BJP leaders who won the assembly section in the year 2019. The education minister of Haryana's journey was not an easy one. Yet, he has strived to be in the place he is today. His love for politics, especially education, along with sports, started back in his school days. When in college, Gujjar's interest developed into a passion. Hence, he became a student leader and contested an election of the students' union in Maharaja College, Jagadhari. Looking at his dedication and affection towards his work later on in the same college, he was elected as president of the students union.
Gujjar enrolled himself for RSS, inspired by the firebrand leader of RSS Sadhvi Rithambara in 1990. That is how he slowly shifted from RSS to BJP. In 1991, contested in the election for the first time from BJP but lost the election by 4000 votes. In 1992, again, he tried his luck in the elections. This time he failed again with 520 votes. BJP-INLD government in 2000 elected him as MLA over his progress. Though everything favoured Mr Kanwar Pal, elections turned him down again, and again in 2009, he was defeated through elections. But this never stopped him from anything! In 2014, he made a comeback by winning elections by 40,000 votes and got an opportunity to sit as a speaker in the parliament.
Achievements of Education Minister of Haryana
Kanwar Pal Gujjar being the minister of education, forest, tourism, parliamentary affairs, and hospitality, claims that his government is self dedicated and strives to provide quality education to the students in Haryana, incredibly empowering the government schools has been the basic motive. Apart from that, he has vowed to promote Haryana tourism in the future by digitizing it in a big way in the current year.

- The employment rate has increased in Haryana.
- An employment project is about to come on a pilot basis in five state colleges. Here the project will be a collaboration along with the private sector.
- Under the employment project, the state's postgraduate and unemployed graduate youth will be getting an opportunity to get training on freelancing platforms.
- Training modules are to be developed to generate self-employment opportunities in selected colleges to bring excellence in higher education. After installing training-related programs, one can work from home with respective government or private college youth.
- The Haryana education board has adopted 100% of computerization. Transparent policies of CBSE are implemented, which includes Continuous and internal assessment of the school students.
- Government and private schools of the state have taken a new phase under the leadership of Haryana's current education minister.
- Gujjar was honoured by chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar for his efforts and achievements.
- Two thousand five hundred ninety-two job openings are to be filled in Haryana government colleges.
- Free textbooks were given for students studying in class 9 to class 12 under the government.
- During the COVID-19 attack and lockdown process, the education minister did not want the kids to miss their educational attachment and books.
- Gujjar announced that a mobile application would be released for primary school students named Sampark Baithak. This app will be creative enough as well as educational. Students studying in the Hindi medium are going to be benefitted from this app.
