Satya Nadella

The man who put the cloud in cloud computing for Microsoft. Satya Nadella is instantly recognizable as the CEO of Microsoft and an eminent global personality. He is a major Indian icon, the aspiration of many youths pursuing engineering. Satya Nadella graduated from MIT in 1988 and later pursued a master's in engineering and an MBA. he put these to good use by securing a job at Sun Microsystems before shifting to Microsoft. Little needs to be said after that. He completely overhauled the Server & Tools division there, oversaw the shift from service to cloud infrastructure, and for his vision and dedication, was named the third CEO of Microsoft.

Satya Nadella changed Microsoft's mission, making the company more focused on growth, collaboration, and empathy. His notable accomplishments lead time to place him as the Person of the Year and Forbes to Name him the Businessperson of the Year. He is also an avid cricket fan and has authored a book describing his time at Microsoft.

Rajeev Suri

Rajeev Suri is heavily associated with Nokia, being its former CEO. However, this is merely a fraction of his true story. Rajeev is a 'Turnabout Specialist,' as he is known for his ability to turn flagging businesses into success stories. Rajeev has rich experience in international business, particularly in the Telecom and mobile sector. Under his tenure, Nokia merged with and acquired many other rivalrous and related firms, thereby consolidating the spread-out sector. He also oversaw the optimization of Nokia by laying off many unneeded jobs and trimmed the company into an efficient and effective entity.

Rajeev left Nokia in 2020 to become the CEO of Inmarsat, a Singapore-based firm. It is a leader in satellite communication technology and is poised to benefit greatly from Rajeev's experience.

A highly successful businessman, Chandrasekhar is also a Member of Parliament Rajya Sabha, representing the state of Karnataka on various issues such as economic reforms, internet freedom, sustainable governance, etc.

Arun Shenoy

The celebrated Singaporean musician Arun Shenoy produces a beat one cannot help but sing along and dance to. He is best known for his Grammy-Award nominated 'Rumbadoodle,' but that one album is only the tip of the iceberg. Since his MIT college days, Arun has been a part of the music scene when he graduated in 1999. He has released several albums such as 'A Stagey Bank Affair,' of which his first song, "Bliss," is an Indian fusion. Arun has donated all the money from his first album to underprivileged children in India. 

Known for his wide variety of Pop, Jazz, and Rock, Arun is also a fan of Spanish Flamenco. His second album was picked as the Best Album of the Year by Jazz Magazine. An Indian model and actress, Parvati was a fully-fledged software professional and engineer after completing her degree from MIT. An envious mix of beauty and brains, she was notable from her student years by being part of the team that won the Guinness record for the world's longest painting. M.G. George Muthoot

The man who made Muthoot Finance what it is today, M.G George Muthoot, was a businessman and banker. He was the Chairman of the Muthoot Group, India's leading gold exchange and lender. He led the expansion of the Muthoot group and was the force behind it, becoming a pan-Indian organization. MGG Muthoot was ranked among India's richest by the Forbes group and was widely held in great esteem for his corporate governance drives. He was awarded the Golden Peacock Award for his CSR activities.

Muthoot was also a member of the FICCI, the largest business organization in India. His contributions to the Indian industry led him to be presented with the Mahatma Gandhi National Award in 2001. Sadly he passed away in 2021, a great loss for the entire nation.

Anant J Talaulicar

Anant J Talaulicar is a name associated with a particular company. From an intern to the CEO & MD, Anant climbed the corporate ladder of Cummins as the most successful employee the company had ever seen. After completing his graduation from MIT in 1984, his first job was as an intern in Cummins, where he later became a full-timer. Anant worked in both the US and the Indian offices of Cummins, leading many projects and overseeing the company's shift from diesel engine production to alternate fuel engine production.

He led massive efforts to bring electricity and clean water to rural parts of India, and under his tenure, the company grew in double digits. Though Anant left Cummins in 2017 to join Everest Ltd., his contributions and legacy in Cummins stand as a testimony to the influence a person can have over an entire sector.

Mirza Faizan

An Indian scientist, known for developing the revolutionizing technology GRIPS, the Global Reality Information Processing System, Mirza Faizan is one of MIT's shining jewels. It gained a critical appreciation for its sardonic humor and family drama approach.
