Chapter 1: Matter in Our Surroundings

The universe is made of materials that are named "matter." Later it was classified into two types: physical properties and chemical nature. Chapter 1 describes the matter based on its physical properties.

Chapter 2: Is Matter Around us Pure?

As we look around, we can see that most of the matter around us is not pure & exists as mixtures of two or more pure components, such as seawater, minerals, soil, etc., are all mixtures that are clearly described in chapter 2.

Chapter 3: Atoms & Molecules

The "Atoms and Molecules" chapter details the smallest particle of the matter, the difference between elements and compounds, dividing matter, i.e., smaller and smaller particles.

Chapter 4: Structure of the Atom

Chapter 4, Structure of the Atom, briefs about the atoms and molecules are the fundamental building blocks of matter. In this chapter, the structure of the atom, subatomic particles, and the various models that have been proposed are explained.

Chapter 5: The Fundamental Unit of Life

The chapter studies' Cells' and answers questions like What are Living Organisms Made Up of? What is a Cell Made Up of? and What is the Structural organization of a Cell?

Chapter 6: Tissues

Chapter 6 recalls all living organisms are made of cells and talks about a single cell that performs all basic functions. Thus, an accumulation of cells similar in structure that works together to achieve a particular function forms a tissue.

Chapter 7: Diversity in a Living Organism

In everyday life, we see some objects at rest and others in motion. Motion, chapter 8 comprises the motion of objects along a straight line. In addition, students also learn to express motion through simple equations and graphs.

Chapter 9: Force & Laws of Motion

Chapter 9 describes what causes the motion and answers the questions like Why does the speed of an object change with time? Do all motions require a cause? If so, what is the nature of

the cause?

Chapter 10: Gravitation

Chapter 10 describes gravitation and the universal law of gravitation. Also, discuss the motion of objects under the influence of gravitational force on the Earth.

Chapter 11: Work & Energy

Chapter 11 comprises ways of describing the motion of objects, the cause of motion, and gravitation. Another concept that's discussed in chapter 11 is to understand and interpret many natural phenomena' Work'.

Chapter 12: Sound

The form of energy that produces a sensation of hearing in our ears is 'Sound'. Chapter 12 introduces students to learn how sound is produced and how it is transmitted through a medium and received by our ears.

Chapter 13: Why do we fall ill?

The ideas of 'health' and 'disease' themselves are very complicated. What's the reason behind diseases and how we prevent them are explained in chapter 11

Chapter 14: Natural Resources

Living things constitute the biotic component of the biosphere. The air, the water, and the soil form the non-living or abiotic component of the biosphere. Chapter 14 described the study of these abiotic components in detail to understand their role in sustaining life on Earth.

Chapter 15: Improvement in Food Resources

The food contains proteins, carbohydrates, fats, vitamins, and minerals which are transferred to all of which we require for body development, growth, and health. In this chapter, "Improvement in Food Resources," students will get complete insights into improvement in crop yields.
