WBJEE Counselling 2024 is currently ongoing on the official website. The counselling is conducted in three phases and the students must complete the document verification to be eligible for final seat allotment. For WBJEE Round 1, the document verification window will close on Jul 29, 2024. For WBJEE Round 2, it will be open between Jul 31 to Aug 03, 2024, and, for the WBJEE Mop-Up round, it will be open between Aug 09 to Aug 12, 2024.
As soon as the WBJEE Round 1 allotment is released, the students must pay the seat acceptance fee (INR 5000) and download the seat allotment letter. Thereafter, the students must proceed with the physical verification at the allotted institute. WBJEE Counselling Document Verification
While filling out the counselling form at the WBJEE portal the candidates must submit scanned copies of various documents that are verified in the later stages of counselling. The detailed process of applying for WBJEE counselling and document verification is given below:
- Step 1: Go to the official website- wbjeeb.nic.in/wbjee
- Step 2: Scroll down to the Candidate Activity Board.
- Step 3: Proceed with filling out the e-counselling form based on WBJEE/ JEE Main score.
- Step 4: Enter personal details and submit the application fee of INR 5000.
Valid Documents for WBJEE Counselling 2024
Await communication regarding the WBJEE seat allotment and institute allotment. Visit the allotted institute and carry the following documents for physical verification (original and one self-attested copy of each):
- Birth Certificate.
- Class 10th mark sheet/admit card.
- Class 12th mark sheet.
- OCI Certificate (if applicable)
- Domicile Certificate (only for West Bengal domicile candidates)
- Category Certificate (only applicable for SC/ST /OBC-A/OBCB/EWS category candidates)
- PwD Certificate (only applicable for the PwD candidates)
- TFWS Certificate (only applicable for TFWS candidates)

Outcomes of WBJEE Counselling Document Verification
According to the official information brochure released by WBJEEB, there can be five possible outcomes post-document verification during the WBJEE counselling process:
- Outcome 1- Discrepancy in the Academic Score, Certificates, or other documents,
In such cases, the candidate is not allotted a seat in the first round and is automatically moved to the second round. For future rounds, they must submit revised scores or certificates for final seat allotment.
- Outcome 2- Successful Document verification and First Choice Allotted
In such cases, the candidates must Freeze their seat, opt for “No upgradation", complete the formalities at the allotted institute, and ensure to collect the Physical Reporting Receipt. If a candidate does not complete the above steps, his/her candidature will be canceled and he/she will be debarred from the other rounds.
- Outcome 3- Successful Document verification and Second/Other Choice Allotted (No Upgradation)
In cases where the candidates opt for No upgradation during the WBJEE seat allotment and complete the other steps they will be allotted a seat and cannot appear in the mop-up round. If the other steps are not completed it can lead to cancellation of candidature.
- Outcome 4- Successful Document verification and Second/Other Choice Allotted (Yes Upgradation)
The candidates that opt for "Yes upgradation", can proceed with the second round or Mop-up round for seat allotment.
- Outcome 5- Successful Document verification but Yes/No option not exercised
In such cases, where the candidate does not fill out any preference, his/her candidature will automatically be canceled and he/she will be debarred from any rounds in the current admission cycle.
