XLRI Selection Criteria for PGDM Programs

The XLRI Selection Criteria at XLRI Jamshedpur is that the candidates are evaluated and admission is given to them on many levels so that only the most deserving talents get to get through the course. The process for admission to the PGDM (BM) and PGDM (HRM) programs includes the following stages:

• Registration and Application: The first stage in recruiting for the Xavier School of Management is the registration for the Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT). XAT 2025 registration was from July 15, 2024, and it will close on November 30, 2024. Interested candidates must apply through the official XAT portal: https://xatonline.in/. About the registration, the candidates should know that XAT examination costs INR 2,200 They will also need to pay an additional INR 200 for their application to XLRI.
• XAT Exam: The XAT exam is the only admission test to XLRI and will be held on the seventh of January in the year 2025. It is conducted in 81 cities all across the India and is famous for its coverage and toughness. XAT measures abilities in aspects such as Verbal and Logical Skills, Decision-Making Skills, Quantitative Skills and General Awareness. Certificate that defines the number of various criteria, the exam score plays an important role in the decision about further participation in the selection process.
• Shortlist for PI: Based on the performance of the candidates in the XAT examination the candidates will be short-listed for personal interview. The announcement of candidates to be included in a shortlist should be made not later than the end of January 2025. This phase again factors in the XAT score but it is also important to look at the candidate’s academic performance, relevant work experience and activities.
• Personal Interview (PI): The Personal Interview stage will take place from mid-February to mid-March of the year 2025. The interview is structured in a way that should give insight into the ability to communicate, leadership traits and overall suitability for the program. Areas the panel might explore may include the direction the candidate intends to take in his or her career, relevant accomplishments and awareness of the organisation’s current environment.

GDPI Requirements for XLRI

To the best of my knowledge, XLRI Jamshedpur does not hold a Group Discussion (GD) as a part of its admission procedure. The candidates qualifying for PI are selected according to XAT scores, academic performance, previous work experience and Co-curricular activities. 

The personal interview is a detailed assessment of the candidate and his or her personality, strengths, ability to communicate and express leadership skills and vision or goals and objectives.

How to Apply for XLRI Jamshedpur Admission 2025?

To apply for XLRI admission, candidates must follow these steps:

1. Register for XAT

You can register yourself through the official XAT portal and you have to complete the registration form. Applicants are supposed to submit INR 2,200 as the XAT registration fee.

2. Submit XLRI Application

XLRI offers the candidates the opportunity to choose the programs they want to apply for the XLRI and each program costs an extra INR 200.
