AICTE Commences PMSSS 2022 Registration for J&K Students with Engineering Diploma
AICTE has started the PMSSS 2022 registration for students of J&K, and Ladakh holding engineering diploma. The last date to apply is 5 September.
PMSSS 2022 Registration: The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has started the Prime Minister Special Scholarship Scheme (PMSSS) 2022 registration for students from the union territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh who holds Diploma in Engineering for the academic session 2022-23. Candidates can check the eligibility criteria and register for the PMSSS 2022 registration on the official website. i.e., aicte-india.org.
The last date of PMSSS 2022 registration is 5 September 2022. As per the AICTE official statement, the lateral entry admission will be based on vacant seats available in the engineering stream during the academic year 2021-22. Also, only those students who have passed a diploma from the Jammu & Kashmir board of technical education not earlier than 2020-21 can apply for the PMSSS.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched the Prime Minister Special Scholarship Scheme to help Jammu & Kashmir, and Ladakh students pursue UG courses in universities/colleges outside Union Territories. Earlier, AICTE started PMSSS 2022 registration for courses like general degree, professional (engineering, nursing, pharmacy, hotel management, architecture etc.), and medical, bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) or equivalent.
Under the scholarship scheme, students will get different amounts of scholarships on the academic and hostel fees. In case of academic fees, students will get financial aid of upto INR 1.25 lakh per annum. Students will be given maintenance allowance of INR 1 lakh per annum in 10 equal instalments.
