The Andhra Pradesh state government has finalised the evaluation criteria framework for preparing the 2021 class 12 board results. Earlier, the AP government had officially cancelled the class 12 Intermediate examinations. Hence, as per the alternate criteria framework, both class 10 and 11 performance will determine the class 12 results.
Class 11 academic performance in internal assessments will feature a seventy per cent weightage in the theory class 12 results. Additionally, class 10 board examination scores will offer thirty per cent weightage to the theory scores. Aside from theory, practical assessments will also feature a part in the final result, according to the BIEAP.
The final results will be available by 31 July 2021, as the state must adhere to the deadline set by the Supreme Court. Accordingly, the state government has designated a committee to finalise criteria for class 10 and 12 results. As a result, around 15 lakh class 10 and 12 students are awaiting these results this year.
Andhra Pradesh Board Results 2021 Deadline
Earlier, AP Education Minister Adimulapu Suresh had stated that a window of 45 days would be necessary to carry out the intermediate exams. However, the SC has given the state ten days to formulate the results scheme. Additionally, the Supreme Court had been skeptical of plans to conduct physical examinations amid the pandemic during the hearing. A judge had questioned the plan, stating the enormity of resources required to carry out examinations safely. As quoted, “28,000 rooms are required to conduct exams…how is it possible to have 15-20 people in each room.” Later, the SC directed the state government to pay INR 1 crore for each COVID-19 death caused by the exams. Hence, it had been unlikely that the state would carry out physical examinations.
