BHU Announces Entrance Test for Free UPSC Coaching to SC Students: The Banaras Hindu University’s (BHU), Ambedkar Centre of Excellence, to provide free UPSC CSE coaching. However, the facility is only for Scheduled Caste (SC) applicants and those who qualify after the entrance test. The entrance test or qualifying exam is on August 7. At the same time, the exam admit card releases tomorrow, July 27. Therefore, students must download the admit card before exam day. BHU took to Twitter to announce that they will provide free UPSC training for both Prelims & Mains to a select few SC aspirants. In addition, the officials will host an entrance test to select the candidates. The exam is on August 7, while the admit cards for it releases tomorrow, July 27. Students can download theirs from the official BHU web portal at – new.bhu.ac.in. Registered applicants can log in using their credentials and do the needful when the authorities make the announcement.

- Out of the 100 (tentative) seats, 33 are reserved for SC Female candidates.
- Access to the Library and high-speed Wifi at the Ambedkar Centre of Excellence.
- The aim is to promote such an initiative throughout the country, wherein SC students avail of the modern amenities. It would help them prepare better for public or competitive exams.
- Reports suggest that the motive behind the initiative by BHU is to establish an Ambedkar Centre of Excellence in 31 Central Universities. Furthermore, such an establishment will empower SC students.
- Authorities will provide updated study materials and contents to students based on the UPSC changes in exam patterns and syllabus.
