CAT 2021 Registration Deadline Extended to 22 September

IIM Ahmedabad officials have postponed the registration deadline for the CAT 2021 to 22 September. Thus, interested and eligible students can continue to apply for the MBA entrance examination online on the official website, iimcat.ac.in. In addition, representatives have stated that a new exam centre will be available to candidates within Srinagar (Jammu and Kashmir). Due to this update, the entrance assessment will now take place in 159 cities across India. Furthermore, candidates should possess scanned copies of the following documents on hand before starting the application process.

• Passport-sized photograph and signature of the candidate
• Work experience certification (if present)
• Academic documents such as certificates and mark sheets

Steps to Register for CAT 2021

The Common Admission Test 2021 registration facility will now be available online until 22 September. Thus, interested candidates can follow the given instructions to apply for the test.

1. Go to the official website – iimcat.ac.in
2. Then, select the “New Candidate Registration” link available on the home page.
3. The website will then display a registration portal.
4. Continue by providing the candidate’s name, date of birth, email address, mobile number, and nationality within the given fields.
5. Then, complete the CAPTCHA verification process and select the “Generate OTP” tab to proceed.
6. Afterwards, log in using the credentials provided to the candidate’s registered mobile number and email address.
7. Fill out the application form with academic qualifications, professional experience details, and contact information.
8. Then, upload the necessary documents in the prescribed format.
9. Choose up to six testing locations in order of preference.
10. Pay the applicable registration fee through online means such as net banking, debit card, or credit card. General category applicants must pay a fee of INR 2200. Additionally, the fee is INR 1100 for reserved category candidates.
11. Finally, verify and submit the registration form.

Fill out the Common Admission Test 2021 Application Form

The Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ahmedabad, oversees the Common Admission Test (CAT) annually. The exam facilitates admissions to over one hundred affiliated MBA institutes such as SPJIMR, JBIMS, FMS Delhi, and more. Officials will conduct the CAT this year in an offline, computer-based testing mode on 28 November 2021.
