CAT 2022 Preparation Tips
Some of the important CAT 2022 preparation tips are given below.
- Take Mock Tests: According to Mumbai-based Chirag Gupta who secured 100 percentile in his first attempt at CAT 2021, the mock tests helped him to understand the pattern of the CAT exam.
He decided to self-study when he began his CAT preparation in March 2021. In the beginning, he also took a mock test once a week. Later, he started taking at least one mock test each day. “I used to spend five hours a day studying, which included taking mock tests. To understand how much I have learnt and how far I still have to go, I used to self-study and give another mock test,” he added.
According to Viraj Shah from Ahmedabad, who achieved a 99.99 percentile on the CAT 2021, mock tests are the key to crack the CAT exam. - Group Study Matters: Viraj Shah, a mechanical engineering student, claimed that taking mock tests and studying with his friends truly helped him clear the CAT 2021. “We talked about time management and how quickly to complete the papers during the group study. For the CAT, I had to speed up my reading,” says Viraj.
- Time Management Counts: Dhanesh Bhutada, who achieved a 99.99 percentile in the CAT 2021, thinks that speed is really important.” Pune-based Dhanesh stated, “Time management is crucial because we have fewer than two minutes to complete each question. I used to spend two to three hours a day studying and answered 90 to 100 questions daily.”
- Know Your CAT Syllabus: IIT Bhubaneshwar graduate Gauravi Kabadi cleared the CAT 2021 MBA admission exam on her very first attempt. She stated, “The CAT syllabus idea is really basic,” while comparing CAT and JEE preparation. If given enough time, any student who has completed the 10th grade can respond to every question. The complete syllabus for JEE Mains and Advanced, which covers advanced math topics like integration, calculus, electric charge, and others, must be understood. Whereas CAT is concerned about how quickly you can understand the problem and create a solution.
