CBSE Results 2022: In the CBSE board exams with more than 35 lakh students, it is not a good outcome for all children, even though 2,36,993 students received 90% or more marks in the CBSE 10th and 1,34,797 students received more than 90% + in the CBSE 12th results in 2022. CBSE Results for Class 10th and 12th were released on 22 July. The overall pass rate for the 10th and 12th board exams has decreased. As much as 94.40% of children passed the CBSE 10th exam this year, up from 99.04% in 2021. The overall pass rate for class 12 is 92.715%, down from 99.37% the previous year.

Therefore, CBSE has more students failing or retaking the boards under compartmental exams in the first-ever two-term exams. Along with these pupils, a sizable number of other students claim to have received high marks in the term 1 results. Still, when the final results are calculated, their grades significantly decline. This is because they are soothing the formula used to calculate the results of their negative outcome.
Protest Campaigns for CBSE 10th and 12th Results Formula Revision by Students and Parents
To get “Justice,” parents and children have formed internet campaigns and written emails to the Education Ministry, CBSE, and other authorities. A barrage of tweets with the hashtag “#JusticeforCBSEStudents” call for results to be based on a 50:50 weighting of term 1 and term 2 outcomes or the best term for students.
Board aspirants claim that the board treated them like “lab rats” by conducting one “experiment” after another, including changing the result calculation policy and requiring students to attend the majority of their classes online.
Parents have also written to CBSE requesting a revision of the algorithm used to calculate results. In a letter to CBSE, the Odisha Parents’ Federation questioned why the board had claimed it would first announce results using a 50:50 weightage if it later had to revise the methodology. It further questioned the board as to why, if it had already decided on the 30:70 formula, it had released a statement claiming that the news of the conclusion was untrue.
