CBSE Class 10th and 12th results are expected to be released in the last week of July. Learn more about CBSE term 1 and 2 weightage.
CBSE Class 10th and 12th Results 2022: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has not yet made available the classes 10 and 12 results. According to board officials, the class 10 results will be made accessible during the first week of August, while the class 12 results will be released during the last week of July. The board is announcing results for two terms for the first time. No student has been classified as passed or failed based on term one results, even though the results for term one have already been made public.
Term 1 and 2 scores will be included in the result, which is expected by next week. The board had previously stated that it would give equal weight to term 1 and 2 scores. Still, given that the COVID-19 situation improved during term two examinations and that those exams were more in line with annual assessments, the board might lean more toward giving term two exams more weight.
Due to several exam glitches, the first-ever term one board exams have generated controversy. A sexist passage in the 10th English exam had caused some uproar. In the end, CBSE decided to eliminate the passage and award all students the same marks. On the Sociology class 12 exam, a question covered the violence in Gujarat. Shortly after the exam, CBSE apologised without much attention.

CBSE Results 2022 Weightage
Currently, the reports are to be believed that the term 1 exams will have a 30% weightage in the final result, while the term 2 results may receive a 70% weightage. The board has not provided any confirmation on this. The final results and the method used to calculate the results will be announced on the website of CBSE.
CISCE has given semester 1 and semester 2 board exams equal weight while calculating the ICSE results. PSEB also awarded each of the two terms in the Punjab Board results 40% weight and 20% weight to internal assessment when calculating their final scores. CBSE had previously stated that terms 1 and 2 would be given equal weight. CISCE and CBSE typically provide similar results methods. Among students, this has sparked some anxiety.
According to CBSE, results would still be calculated for students who missed one of the two terms. Students may still take the term 2 exams even if they did not take the term one exams. Like all other students, these students will receive their results. This will also be the case if a student misses term two exams, but there needs to be a valid reason why they didn’t show up. If the justifications are valid, CBSE will figure out how to calculate the results for such students.
