Students hoping to travel abroad for further education are becoming quite anxious due to the delay in releasing the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) class 12th results. The results from the IB board have already been released. But CBSE and the Council for Indian School Certification Examinations (CISCE) have not.
A parent was concerned that their daughter, who had been accepted to a French college, would be late for admission. “The delay in visa approvals is something we frequently hear about. We haven’t even been able to apply as of yet because of this wait. It is necessary to have a Class XII marksheet for my daughter’s university”. The father, who wished to remain unnamed, continued, “If CBSE can provide us with a date, that will be convenient”.
“Recently, I read in the papers about the visa backlog due to which the government had to interfere,” a student named Shreyansh said. He added, “Once the results are out, hopefully, we won’t have to go through this”. He will travel to London to pursue further education.
Even consulting companies that help students travel overseas claimed that the results’ delay was causing applicants’ anxiety. According to Kalpana Zutschi, principal consultant of TC Global, “Students face challenging times. Even if CBSE announces the results by July, it could take weeks to receive the papers”. CBSE authorities stated that only the final week of July is anticipated for the class 12th results.
