CBSE Results 2022: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has already announced CBSE results for 2022 for class 12 on their official website. They have released the results today i.e., on 22nd July 2022. CBSE got rid of the term “Fail” in the mark sheet as they had decided earlier. In the mark sheet, they changed the term “Fail” to “Essential Repeat” in the document of results. Already in February 2020, CBSE has announced a major change that is going to be reflected in the upcoming CBSE results in 2022.
CBSE Boards View the Words “Compartment” and “Failed” on CBSE Results 2022
According to the reports, CBSE took the decision to remove the words “Compartmental” or “Failed” from the CBSE mark sheets. This proposal is a part of the Board Policy to prevent the negative impact on students’ psyche due to the board result. CBSE has reached out to various school principals and regional offices of CBSE schools for suggestions regarding the replacement. They want a replacement for the words “Failed” and “Compartmental” in the CBSE final examination mark sheets.
The board realises the amount of pressure a student goes through during class 10 and class 12 to perform well in the exam. They also believe that the effect of the words “Failed” and “Compartmental” has tremendous effects on students’ psyche as they see those words “Compartmental” or “Failed” on the board marksheet. So, seeing this CBSE has taken the decision to replace these words with a kind of word that helps and motivates students to ace in their next exams.
Right now, students who are failing in more than two exams get the marksheet with “Failed” written on them. Students who are failing two or fewer subjects get the marksheet with “Compartmental” written on them. But after the implementation of the new proposal the results the words “Failed” or “Compartmental” on them.
Impact of ‘Failed’ and ‘Compartment’ on Mental Health of the Students
According to a Psychiatrist, the terrible words on the CBSE marksheet are affecting the mental health of students. Even if they don’t take drastic action of taking their own life, it intensely affects their mental health. They develop a subconscious fear in their mind and are afraid to sit for any further exams. Seeing the words like on the marksheet can be a trauma to many students who develop an irrational fear of giving bad exams.

After the year 2020, CBSE is going to replace the word “Failed” with “Essential Repeat”. Though there is no change to the word “Compartmental” yet.
