CBSE Will Declare 2022 Results Even for Those Absent in Term 1 or 2
CBSE, via a webinar, has confirmed that CBSE results 2022 will be declared even for students absent from Term 1 or 2 exams.
Sanyam Bhardwaj, the Joint Secretary of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), gave pointers to the school authorities before the commencement of the exams. The CBSE Term 2 Board Exams will start today, April 26, 2022. Due to the pandemic, the board exams have been brought back after 2 years. Additionally, the board also hosted a webinar informing schools on how to conduct the examinations. In the webinar, the joint secretary declared that students absent from Term 1 or 2 will still receive their CBSE Results 2022.
CBSE Results 2022: Basis of Verdict
Over 35 Lakh students will appear for the term 2 CBSE Exams, scheduled to commence on April 26, 2022. However, if a student did not participate in either term 1 or 2, they should not be perplexed. Their results will be declared based on their performance in the term they participated. Nonetheless, the marking scheme has not been announced yet. Furthermore, students who could not attend both terms will be granted permission to appear for the Board Exams next year. Moreover, they can participate as private or regular candidates.
Compartment exams for all papers would be conducted on the same day. Consequently, class 12 students absent for both terms cannot participate in the compartment exams. Meanwhile, if a student in class 10 or 12 does not appear for the practical exams, their schools will have to inform the regional office about their marks.

- Schools will have to provide separate rooms for students who test positive for Covid.
- A seating capacity of not more than 18 with 2 invigilators in an exam hall.
- The webinar also described the roles of the principals and teachers during the board exams.
The CBSE Chairman, Vineet Joshi, also addressed the webinar. He spoke about planning for emergencies. Also, panic of any kind could disrupt the system and prior planning could help resolve any matter smoothly. He stressed how important it is for parents to steer clear of fake news regarding CBSE Results or the Exam Schedule. Lastly, he described what an admirable system we had set up where the Board and School work together to conduct the exams.
