The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is held every year for students seeking admission to India’s 22 National Law Universities. The governing body, The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs), announced that the CLAT 2022 Application would close by 11:59 PM tonight, May 9. Be that as it may, registered students can pay the application fee by May 11. Furthermore, this year the authorities will conduct the admission test twice. CLAT 2022: Application Procedure
CLAT is conducted for students who want to pursue the 5-year integrated LLB course that NLUs. Follow the steps mentioned below to complete your application.
- Firstly, visit the Consortium of National Law Universities’ official website.
- Next, click on the ‘CLAT 2022’ & register yourself.
- Then, proceed to fill out the application form & with the necessary details.
- Upload the documents in the prescribed format.
- Your next step would be to pay the application fee. Note that you can pay the application fee by May 11. Albeit, no application will be complete without the payment. The fee is Rs. 4000 for general category students & Rs. 3500 for the reserved category.
- Final review the details you have provided and apply. Also, download the form and keep a printout.

Additionally, the authorities have affirmed to reduce the counseling fee this year. Earlier, the fee was Rs. 50,000 for students belonging to the general category. However, the authorities will reportedly reduce it to Rs. 30,000. Meanwhile, they will reduce it to Rs. 20,000 for those belonging to the SC, ST, OBC, BC, EWS, & PWD categories.
In addition, the All India OBC Students Association (AIOBCSA) has complained about the reservation of seats. In a letter to the Prime Minister, the association reported that the NLUs had not efficiently implemented the seat reservation policy. Therefore, they have requested the government to intervene and want them to ensure that the NLUs strictly implement the All India Reservation Quota policy terms.
