CSIR NET 2023 Exam Date: The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research authorities are expected to release the CSIR NET Dec 2023 exam date and CSIR UGC-NET December 2023 exam notification soon. Therefore, interested candidates must visit the official website- csirnet.nta.nic.in and check out the CSIR NET 2023 exam date upon its release.

The parameters on which the CSIR NET 2023 eligibility criteria are based are Nationality, Educational Qualification and Age. Significantly, all students must be a citizen of India to attempt the test on the CSIR UGC-NET exam date Dec 2023.

CSIR NET 2023 Exam Date Eligibility Criteria 

Candidates must refer to the information below to check their educational qualifications for the CSIR NET 2023 exam date.

• Students must have graduated BS-MS/ BS-4 years/ BE/ B.Tech/ B.Pharma/ MBBS with a minimum of 55% marks for General/ OBC category candidates and 50% marks for SC/ ST/ PwD category candidates.
• Candidates must have passed B.Sc (Hons) or equivalent degree holders or students enrolled in the Integrated MS-Ph.D. program with a minimum of 55% marks for General/ OBC category candidates and 50% marks for SC/ ST/ PwD category students.
• Those enrolled for M.Sc or who have completed 10+2+3 years of the above qualifying examination are eligible to apply under the Result Awaited (RA) category. However, there is a condition that the students must have completed the qualifying degree with the requisite percentage of marks within two years to avail of the fellowship from the effective date of the award.
• Specification of degrees (whether Bachelor’s or Master’s) will apply as notified by the UGC in its Gazette Notification No. F. 5-1/2013 (CPP-II) dated Jul 5, 2014, and as amended from time to time to attempt the test on the CSIR NET 2023 exam date.
• Subsequently, the eligibility for the Lectureship of NET-qualified candidates will be subject to fulfilling the criteria listed by UGC. Ph.D. holders who have passed a Master’s Degree before Sep 19, 1992, with a minimum of 50% marks, will be considered eligible to apply for a Lectureship only.

Note: General/ UR & OBC students must score at least 55% Marks to be eligible. Further, SC/ST and PWD candidates must score at least 50%.

Students must remember that based on the eligibility criteria for the students who wish to attempt the test on the CSIR NET 2023 exam date, the maximum age requirement for JRF Fellowship is 28 years as of Jul 1, 2023. Furthermore, Lecturership (LS) has no upper age limit.
