The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced that the CTET 2021 paper 1 & 2 exam has been postponed to a later date.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) informed that Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2021 paper 1 and 2 has been postponed due to technical issues. Officials had scheduled to hold CTET 2021 paper 2 on 16 December from 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM. They rescheduled the exam for 16 December (2nd shift) and 17 December (both shifts). Authorities conducted the CTET 2021 exam in the computer-based mode for the first time. There were no technical issues or glitches during the exams, according to the candidates. However, some centres faced some glitches in the second half of the exam. Hence, CBSE decided to postpone the exam to a later date.
The authority conducted CTET paper 1 from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM today with COVID-19 protocols successfully. The overall difficulty level of the exam was moderate as per CTET exam analysis. The CTET 2021 paper 1 is for the aspirants who want to become teachers for classes 1 to 5. Furthermore, the paper 2 exams are for the aspirants who wish to become teachers for classes 6 to 8.
The unit of Tata Consultancy Services, who were responsible for conducting the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2021 for the CBSE, said, “On day one of the examination (16 December), unexpected technical issues impacted operations in certain venues, in the first shift.” In their Twitter statement, they also said, “As a result, candidates in affected venues could not complete the exam. Consequently, we had to cancel the second shift examination.”
