The NTA will oversee the CUET 2022. CUET will be in two formats, CUET UG and CUET PG. The former is for admission in undergraduate courses, and the latter is for admission in postgraduate programs.
This year, CUET UG will be between 15 July to 10 August. Around 15 lakh students might appear for these exams, out of which 6.5 lakh applications for admission to Delhi University.
Mr Singh confirms that this year’s counselling process will accept a maximum number of students in the first round. With admitting 30% extra for backward classes and 20% extra for unreserved and OBC students, the university expects to fill in the reserved seats in the first round only.
It will give students a golden opportunity to get the subject and college of their choice in the early rounds of counselling.
The vice chancellor explained the varsity’s counselling process. He said students must fill out their preferences again on the Delhi University admission portal. If two students with the same CUET score choose the same college and course as first preference, their class 12 board marks will act as a tiebreaker for the preferred seat, according to the vice-chancellor.
