CUET 2022 Revised Exam Pattern: Check Out the Details
The NTA has announced changes to CUET for the year 2022. Check the CUET revised exam pattern and prepare accordingly.
The National Testing Agency has confirmed that CUCET has been renamed CUET, and the CUET exam pattern is also new. Previously known as the Central Universities Common Entrance Test, it is now the Central University Entrance Test (CUET). The application form for CUET has been available since April first week. However, the application process began on April 6 and will be conducted until May 6, 2022.
CUET 2022 Exam Outline
The exam has now been categorised into 4 sections. These categories include two language sections, one Domain-Specific Subjects section, and a General Test section. Furthermore, CUET is a Computer Based Test (CBT).
The students can opt to take it in one of 13 languages, including – Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Gujarati, Bengali, Odiya, Assamese, Punjabi, Hindi, Urdu & English. The examination will comprise objective type MCQs for which students will be awarded 1 mark for each correct answer, and 0.25 will be deducted for each wrong answer. CUET Exam Structure
A student can choose a maximum of 3 languages from sections 1A & 1B. Furthermore, a student can opt for a language from section 1B only if they do not wish to choose from 1A, and this language would be a substitute for a domain-specific subject from section 2.
Moreover, when it comes to section 2, a student can opt for a maximum of 6 subjects, considering the programme and college they want admission in. After that, section 3 is to test the student’s general knowledge and logical & analytical reasoning. Therefore, each applicant can appear for a maximum of 9 exams in the CUET revised exam pattern.
