The first-ever Common Universities Entrance Examination (CUET) in India will start on July 15. The computer-based test is the gateway to admissions to public universities in India. Moreover, 86 Varsities have given the nod to accept CUET 2022 scores for admissions to their colleges. These include – 43 Central Universities, 13 State Universities, 12 Deemed-Universities, and 18 Private Universities. Furthermore, the National Testing Agency (NTA) is the governing body of the exam. Additionally, the NTA has confirmed that the entrance test will be conducted over two phases. The first, in July, on – 15, 16, 19, and 20. On the other hand, the second phase will be on August 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 10.

CUET 2022: Exam Features
A student is better prepared for every examination if they know the key exam features and guidelines. Therefore, besides preparing robustly, students must be aware of the exam features before the exam. Check the key CUET 2022 highlights here.
- 554 Indian cities are hosting CUET 2022.
- 13 International cities are hosting it.
- The exam is four-sectional, 1A, 1B, 2, & 3.
- Students can choose their preferred medium over 13 languages for taking the test.
- Sections 1A & 1B will be language-based examinations. Be that as it may, Section 2 will be domain-specific, based on the NCERT study materials. In comparison, section 3 will be based on general awareness.
- For sections 1A & 1B, students can select any combination from 33 available languages. On the other hand, for section 2, they can select from 27 domain subjects.

Exam Checklist: Things to Carry
It would be necessary to carry the following to the exam venue:
- Admit Card
- Duly filled Self-Declaration Form (available on the official website)
- Blue or Black ballpoint pen
- The same photograph that you uploaded on the application form.
- A valid photo identity
- PwD or PwBD certificates. However, these certificates are for applicants from those categories.
- Transparent water bottle
- Face masks (students must wear them throughout the exam)
- Hand sanitisers
Note: Students found using electronic devices or other study materials will have to forfeit their exam.
