Delhi University, also known as DU, is likely to begin admissions for 2021-22 for UG from the last week of July. As per the report, Rajeev Gupta, chairperson of DU’s admissions department, said, “The registration process for undergraduate admissions is likely to begin in the third or fourth week of July. It will not begin on July 15 as the results will not be out by then. The Supreme Court has given a July 31 deadline for the declaration of board results. Henceforth, the admissions process will begin a few days before the results are available.”
Delhi University 2021 CUCET Decision
Earlier, admission to Delhi University was based on their class 12 marks. However, starting this year, both CUCET and board examinations for UG admissions will have equal weightage in the admission process. However, the university has not yet made a final decision on both CUCET and DU admissions.
DU vice-chancellor PC Joshi has stated that the University will announce the final decision within ten days by the Ministry of Education. However, the university will declare the decision regarding the CUCET soon. Meanwhile, a recent cabinet reshuffle and the appointment of a new education minister occurred. 2021 Delhi university admissions will occur wholly on the internet, due to the Covid-19 pandemic. DU admissions were online for all the programmes in 2020 as well.
