DU UG admission process likely to get delayed by a week as CUET was rescheduled due to technical glitches. The entire process will take over a month.
DU UG Admission 2022: The admission process for Delhi University’s UG course is likely to be further delayed by at least a week due to the postponement of CUET-UG last week due to technical glitches at multiple centres.
Initially set to end on August 20, the Common University Entrance Test (CUET)-UG will now end on August 28. All university admissions to undergraduate courses will be through CUET. The postponed test, would now take place from August 24 to 28 and new admit cards will be issued soon. As stated by National Testing Agency (NTA) on Saturday.
DU UG Admission 2022: Admission Process
The DU UG admission process is likely to stretch longer by a week due to the rescheduled CUET exam. The entire process is expected to take over a month, according to a senior Delhi University official. The admission process is now expected to complete by September End and commencement of classes is expected by the first or second week of October. The admission process is likely to start later this month and the CSAS portal will open by the third week of August.
The Admission through CSAS will take place in three phases –
- Submission of the CSAS 2022 application form
- Selection of programs and filling preferences
- Seat allocation and admission

*CUET score is required in the second step, i.e. selection of programs and filling of preferences.
A candidate after submitting CSAS 2022 application form is required to select programs and fill preference with the CUET score. Lastly, In the third phase, the seat allocation will be carried out through a merit list.
UGC in march announced that for all the Central University courses, admission will be conducted through CUET. The Second Phase of CUET-UG began on last Thursday, But due to some technical glitches, students were not able to appear and were sent back. The Second Shift of the exam was cancelled at all 489 centres.
On Friday, the exam was also cancelled at 50 centres. To avoid a similar situation on Saturday, the authority cancelled the exam from all centres and informed all candidates about the same through messages on Friday night, According to the UGC Chairman Jagadesh Kumar.
