Although candidates appearing for the entrance exam must note that to download the CLAT 2023 admit card, they must first enter their preferences for admission to National Law Universities (NLUs) as a precondition.
Currently, there are 22 participating NLUs through CLAT. Therefore, per the latest instructions, candidates can choose upto five NLUs while entering their admission preferences. There is no limit to entering the maximum number of NLUs.
The release of the CLAT 2023 admit card is scheduled after 6 PM today, Dec 6, 2022, on the official website. The offline-based entrance test will occur on Dec 18, 2022, from 2 PM to 4 PM.
CLAT 2023 Admit Card - Latest Mandate
Since the exam is yet to take place, entering the admission preferences can be difficult. Apart from that, giving preferences to certain NLUs limits the chance of appearing candidates to only those, as the consortium will consider admissions to only the preferences they have entered. Even if there are vacancies at other NLUs and their rank is higher than the cutoff, they will still not be considered for admission at those NLUs.
Hence, candidates need to choose their preferences to download the CLAT 2023 admit card after thoroughly evaluating the courses offered, seats, eligibility, fees, and NIRF ranking.
