Preparation Tips for GATE 2023 Exam
Below are the preparation tips for candidates appearing for the GATE exam.
- Understanding the Syllabus and Pattern: Candidates should be aware of the syllabus before starting their exam preparation. The GATE 2023 exam format varies depending on the weighted segments and marks assigned to each subject; only the general aptitude segment is constant throughout all exams and carries a 15% weighted mark allocation. To do well in the exam, candidates must also be familiar with the four-year Engineering curriculum.
- Make Short-Term and Long-Term Plans: Aspirants must create both short-term (daily), and long-term (fortnightly and monthly) plans to manage the extensive syllabus. It will need more time to understand some topics fully. Aspirants must therefore allocate their time to prepare for these topics adequately.
- Learn to Apply Concepts: To improve their conceptual comprehension, candidates should attempt as many numerical-based problems as possible because the GATE 2023 exam has more than theoretical ones.
- Regular Revision: Revision is crucial for exam preparation since it enables candidates to pinpoint their areas of strength and growth. Studying a subject for a week and then revising it is the optimum practice cycle.
