DTE has postponed the exam dates for Goa Common Entrance Test (GCET). The authorities will now conduct the exam on 27 and 28 June 2022.
The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) has postponed the exam dates for Goa Common Entrance Test (GCET). The authorities will now conduct the exam on 27 and 28 June 2022.
The exam was postponed due to the delay in the academic year because of the pandemic. Earlier the exam was scheduled for 11 and 12 May 2022.
“GCET 2022, earlier scheduled to be conducted on 11 and 12 May 2022, is deferred and shall be conducted on 27 and 28 June 2022. However, the dates shall be confirmed only 10 days prior to the exam. The procedure and schedule of acceptance of application forms for GCET 2022 shall be duly notified on the DTE website” the DTE said in the official notice. Furthermore, students must keep checking the official website for all the admission-related updates of GCET 2022.
About GCET 2022
The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) conducts the Goa Common Entrance Test (GCET) every year with the help of a team from IIT Bombay. Moreover, this exam is held to provide admissions to students in Engineering and Pharmacy courses offered by universities in Goa. Authorities divide the question paper into three subjects – Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Additionally, the test is held in offline pen-paper format. Candidates are given 2 hours per subject to answer the questions. Furthermore, for every correct answer students are awarded 1 mark and there is no negative marking.
