IIT Madras BS Program: Data Science and Applications Registrations Underway

IIT Madras BS Program: Indian Institute of Technology introduced the IIT Madras BS Program in Data Science and Applications Programme and is inviting online applications from interested students. Students from across the world who are interested can apply for the program on online degree.iitm.ac.in.

As per the press release, candidates who have completed one diploma in the program have received internship offers and placement process, and for students close to completing the program has started with more than 100 companies have expressed interest in the program. The last date to apply for this is Jan 16, 2023.

According to the press release, Prof. V. Kamakoti, Director, stated, “This IIT Madras BS program in data science is the first step in opening up IIT Madras in an inclusive manner to the learners across the country. Hands-on training in every single course, building strong foundations in learners, exposing the learners to cutting-edge technology and topics, and the rigorous assessment methods make this an employment-oriented program in a domain where the projection is 11.2 million jobs in the next 10 years.”

Candidates must note that the eligibility for applying is that the candidate should have studied Maths and English in Class X. Students in class XII can attempt the qualifier and have an admission letter from IITM while in school. The program also allows learners of any age and background to apply and learn something new. About the IIT Madras BS program, it begins with the foundation level, which teaches basics for courses in programming and data science which is followed by diploma-level courses.
