The Department of Science and Technology announced inviting PhD scholars to apply for fellowships under INSPIRE Faculty Fellowship.
The Department of Science and Technology (DST) has announced inviting PhD scholars to apply for fellowships under the Innovation in Science Pursuit (INSPIRE) Faculty Fellowship initiative. Candidates can apply for the position via the official INSPIRE web portal. The deadline for applications is August 15. Interested candidates should apply on the official website.
Post-doctoral grants are available to young researchers having a PhD under the plan. The fellowship is awarded for a five-year period to do post-doctoral research in both basic and applied science fields such as medicine, agriculture, engineering, and veterinary sciences.
INSPIRE Faculty Fellowship 2022: Program Eligibility
The INSPIRE faculty fellowship program eligibility criteria are as follows:
- Candidates must have a PhD in pharmacy, medicine, or a similar field from a recognised university worldwide. Those who have submitted their theses and are awaiting their degrees are also eligible to apply.
- Furthermore, candidates must have received at least 60% or comparable CGPA marks throughout their academic career, beginning with class 12.
- Candidates in the top 1% of their class, IIT-JEE rank holders, and first rank holders in either graduation or post-graduation will be preferred.
- Candidates must be between the ages of 27 and 32. Women applicants, as well as those from the SC and ST categories, have an upper age limit relaxation.
Application Procedure

- Fill out the required information and register on the portal.
- Enter your login information.
- To complete the application form, enter the needed information and upload the required documents.
- Submit the application form and print it out for future use.

INSPIRE Faculty Fellowship 2022: Fellowship Stipend
An applicant who is selected for the fellowship will be awarded a combined amount of INR 1,25,000 per month, with an annual increment of INR 2,000. In addition, a Research Grant of INR 7 lakh would be awarded yearly for the next five years.
