Candidates who applied for JEE Advanced 2021 and failed to appear in both papers can now appear for JEE Advanced 2022.
Candidates who applied for JEE Advanced 2021 and failed to appear in it can now appear for JEE Advanced 2022. As per the latest JEE Main 2022 brochure, the National Testing Agency (NTA) declared the relaxation in criteria for JEE Advanced.
NTA revealed that the JEE Main 2022 exams are scheduled for April-May and published the JEE Main 2022 information brochure and eligibility criteria on its authorised website. This year, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay will organise the JEE Advanced 2022 on 3 July 2022. The application form will be out on the official website on 8 June and end on 14 June.
Citing COVID-19 as the reason, the NTA has declared the relaxations in the exam eligibility criteria for the students who cleared the Senior Secondary level exam (class 12th) or any equivalent examination in 2020 and 2021 and had successfully applied for the exam but could not be present. These interested contenders must apply for the JEE Advanced 2022 online registration portal. Furthermore, they must complete the registration process by paying the required fee.
JEE Advanced 2022: Relaxation in Eligibility Criteria
Contenders who cleared the class 12th or any equivalent examination in 2020 or 2021 can apply for the exam. However, they must meet the following two conditions:
- The interested contender must have appeared only once for the exam, either in the year 2020 or 2021 or have not appeared in any paper in both JEE (Advanced) 2020 and 2021.
- These contenders should or should have appeared in JEE Main 2022. They must fulfil the required marks of the top qualifying contenders to qualify for the exam according to the category. No candidate can give the exam more than two times.
