JEE Advanced Eligibility Criteria Revised for 2022, Check Here
IIT Bombay has released the revised JEE Advanced 2022 Eligibility Criteria and has also announced that there will not be a third attempt.
Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay released an official notice on 30 December 2021 on the official website – jeeadv.ac.in about relaxation in the eligibility criteria for JEE Advanced 2022.
JEE Advanced 2022 Revised Eligibility Criteria
According to the notification,
- Candidates who passed class 12th in 2020 or 2021 and successfully registered for JEE Advanced 2021, but were absent for both Paper 1 and Paper 2 will be eligible to appear for JEE Advanced 2022. Provided, they successfully register themselves on the online portal and pay the registration fee.
- Furthermore, Candidates who appeared in the class 12 (or equivalent) examination in 2020 for the first time are also eligible to appear for JEE Advanced 2022 provided they satisfy the following two eligibility criteria simultaneously:
- The candidate should have appeared only once for JEE Advanced, either in the year 2020 or 2021; or, have not at all appeared in any paper in both JEE Advanced 2020 and JEE Advanced 2021.
- These candidates will have to appear in JEE Main 2022 and meet the cut-off score of the top 2,50,000 candidates (all categories) to qualify for JEE Advanced 2022.
Note: This is a one-time relaxation valid only for JEE Advanced 2022 due to the pandemic. This relaxation does not mean that candidates are getting a third attempt.
