JEE Main 2022 Exam Advisory & Test Instructions for Candidates
The National Testing Agency has released the JEE Main 2022 exam advisory and tests instructions for the candidates today, June 22.
The National Testing Agency has released the JEE Main 2022 exam advisory and tests instructions for the candidates today. The NTA notice of instructions and advisory mentions the exam day guidelines for students, test paper structure and other important information about the exam.
NTA released the admit cards on 21 June and is available for download on the website. No candidate should adopt any unfair means or indulge in any unfair examination practices as the examination centres are under surveillance of CCTV and equipped with jammers. Officials will debar anybody found practising any unfair means from the examination.

JEE Main 2022 Exam Advisory
Students must adhere to these points as advised by the officials.
- Candidates must download their Admit Card from the NTA JEE Main 2022 website https:/jeemain.nta.nic.in
- They should check the following details as indicated on their admit Card:

- Reporting Time at Centre
- Gate Closing time of Centre
- Date of Examination
- Shift and Timings of Test
- Venue of Test
Candidates should visit their examination centre in advance and familiarize themselves with the location. They should carry with them only the following items:

- Admit Card downloaded from the NTA Website (a clear, preferably colour printout on A4 size paper).
- Also, applicants should paste one Passport size photograph (same as uploaded with the Online Application Form) on the Attendance Sheet at the Centre.
- A valid Photo ID Proof in ORIGINAL (PAN card/ Driving License/ Voter ID/ Passport/ Aadhaar Card (With photograph)/E- Aadhaar/Ration Card/12th Classes Admit card).
Note: The authorities will not accept ID Cards issued by Schools/ Colleges/ Universities/ Coaching Centres without an AADHAR NUMBER.
Furthermore, no Candidate would be allowed to enter the Examination Centre without identity verification).
Additional focal points to keep in mind:
- No Candidate is allowed to enter the Centre wearing their mask. Officials will provide masks at the Centre. Officials will dispose of the personal masks in a closed pedal push bin provided at the Centre.
- The candidate should ensure that the question paper on the computer screen is as per their opted subject/medium indicated in the Admit Card. If the subject/medium of the question paper is other than their opted subject/medium, then the students must bring the same to the notice of the concerned Invigilator.
- Officials will not allow candidates to carry the following: an Instrument/ Geometry/ Pencil box, Handbag, Purse, any Paper/ Stationery/ Textual material (printed or written material), Eatables and Water (loose or packed), Mobile Phone/ Ear Phone/ Microphone/ Pager, Calculator, DocuPen, Slide Rules, Log Tables, Camera, Tape Recorder, to wear/carry any type of watch including Electronic Watches with facilities of calculator, any metallic item or electronic gadgets/ devices in the Examination Hall/Room. There may be no provision for keeping your valuables safe at the Centre.
- Authorities will allow the diabetic students to carry eatables like sugar tablets/fruits (like banana/apple/orange) and transparent water bottles to the Examination Hall/Room. However, officials will not allow them to carry packed foods like chocolates/candy/sandwiches etc.
- Also, blank paper sheets for rough work of A4 size will be provided in the examination Hall/Room. Candidates must write their name and Roll Number at the top of each sheet and drop the sheet/s in the designated drop box without fail before leaving the Examination Hall/Room. Failure to do so may result in a non-evaluation of your answers.
- The candidates should carefully read the Subject-Specific Instructions, and General Instructions mentioned in the Question paper.
- Thus, the candidate should also go through all Instructions in the Admit Card and the Information Bulletin.
Test Instructions
For MCQ Type Questions
- To select your answer, click on the button of one of the options.
- Also, to de-select your chosen answer, click on the button of the chosen option again.
- To change your chosen answer, click on the button of another option.
For Numerical Value Type Questions
- Click on your answer using a virtual numeric keypad and mouse
- Also, to clear the answered question, you need to click on the Clear button provided on the numeric keypad.
- Anything entered in the box would be considered as answered.
