JEE Main 2022 – Know the Exam Guidelines
JEE Main 2022 candidates must read the guidelines issued by the National Testing Agency and follow the same on the exam day.
The Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) 2022 Main will take place in two phases – April and May. The National Texting Agency (NTA) has rolled out a new set of rules and regulations which aspirants must abide by.
Moreover, to avoid any last-minute confusion on the day of the exam, the candidates must read the guidelines in advance. The rules range from dress code to required documents to stationery items. Check out the rules laid out below for future reference.

JEE Main 2022 Exam Day Instructions
The candidates must follow the below examination instructions without fail to avoid any inconvenience during the day of the exam.
- Admit card – The candidates must carry their admit card to enter the examination hall.
- Valid Government ID card – The candidate must carry a valid ID card with name and photograph, issued by the government authority of India.
- PwD certificate – Candidate claiming PwD reservation, should provide an authentic certificate for the same.
- Candidates wearing any special attire due to religious reasons, must reach the centres early for thorough checking.
- Candidates should enter details in the attendance sheet, put signature and paste photographs.
- While putting the thumb impression, the candidate should provide a clear and smudge-free thumb impression.
- A simple transparent ballpoint pen.
- Face mask.
- Transparent and small personal sanitiser bottle.
- Upon checking, if the candidate’s body temperature exceeds the COVID-19 norms, he or she must take the exam in a separate room.
JEE Main 2022 Exam Dress Code
The dress code guideline issued by the National Testing Agency (NTA) must be followed to avoid any confusion on the exam day.
- No metallic objects are allowed at the examination hall. This includes wearing a dress with metal in it.

The candidate should ignore wearing any kind of jewellery or gadget.

Candidates should wear clothes that will cover their arms properly, to avoid contact with surfaces directly.

Candidates should avoid thick-soled shoes and large buttoned clothes.
