JEE Main 2022 NTA Changes Tie-Breaker Rule: Check Latest Amendments
NTA has modified the JEE Main 2022 tie-breaking policy. Now, the age and application number order of students will be considered.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has revised the tie-breaking policy for JEE Main 2022 exam. NTA has again brought the age factor as a criterion for breaking ties. It is a major amendment as the authorities removed the age factor in 2021. An updated information brochure is available on the official website.
The authorities have also introduced the ascending order of application numbers as another criterion. There are cases when two or more candidates score the same marks in JEE Main exam, and there is no other way to resolve the tie. In such a case, the candidate who applied earlier for JEE Main will be preferred over others.
