JEE Main 2022: Only 2 Attempts Confirmed; Eligibility Criteria Announced
NTA has released the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Mains 2022) eligibility criteria on its official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main 2022) eligibility criteria on its official website. The NTA will likely announce the JEE Main exam date soon and the agenda by next week. As per the announcement, the interested contenders will have just two attempts instead of four this year.
As per the reports, the NTA has resolved to organise the exams in April and May. The NTA has also declared the conduct of two attempts for JEE Main 2022 on its authorised website. Therefore, candidates can apply for the exam twice to enhance their score sheet.
As per the authorised website, candidates have the option to appear in any of the sessions or both. Nonetheless, if a candidate appears in multiple sessions, their highest score will be considered for Merit Ranking.
JEE Main 2022 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates who have cleared the Senior Secondary level exam (Class 12th) or any equivalent examination in 2020, 2021, or appearing in 2022 irrespective of age can apply for the JEE Main 2022 examination. There is no age limitation to apply in the JEE Mains 2022. Nevertheless, the contenders must satisfy the age criteria of the desired university/Institute(s).
- Candidates who have passed the Senior Secondary level exam (Class 12th) or any equivalent examination in 2020, 2021, or those expected to do so in Class 12 in 2022 can apply for JEE (Main) 2022.
- Those who passed the Senior Secondary level exam (Class 12th) or any other equivalent examination in 2019 or before and candidates who will appear in such examination in 2023 or after that cannot apply for the exam.
