Indian Institute of Management (IIT) might shift the four JEE (Main) 2022 attempts to March from February amidst the assembly polls in five states. The Ministry of Education (MoE) said, “As five states are scheduled to go to the polls in February-March next year, the schedule of the JEE(Main) 2022 exams could be impacted.”
A senior ministry official said, “However, considering the pending elections, the schedule could be tweaked this year. The first exam is likely to be scheduled in March followed by April, May and June”.
NTA will conduct other national level entrance exams such as NEET(UG) for MBBS/DENTAL admissions in May. They will also conduct CET for central universities in June. Officials had to conduct the entrance test for admission to central universities in 2021. However, the exams got delayed due to the pandemic. Now, according to the National Education Policy, officials will have to conduct the exams multiple times in 2022. However, this year they will conduct the exams once.
Candidates were demanding to conduct NEET (UG) multiple times in computer-based mode, but officials have declined the request. They will further conduct NEET (UG) 2022 in May.
