JEE Main 2022 Update: NTA Removes the 75% Eligibility Criteria
NTA has removed the 75% marks eligibility criteria for the JEE Main 2022. Check out the revised criteria here.
NTA has eliminated the 75% eligibility standards in JEE Mains from the minimum eligibility criteria. Earlier, students had to have a minimum of 75% aggregate in their 12th board to appear for this examination. NTA has now removed this eligibility criterion.
Revised Eligibility Criteria for JEE Main
Here is the revised eligibility for the JEE Main 2022:
- Top 2,50,000 successful candidates based on JEE Main 2022 examination marks can attempt the JEE Advanced exam.
- Candidates allowed to attempt the JEE Main exam twice in 2 years
- Candidates should have appeared for the class 12th exam with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
The 75% eligibility criteria has been removed. However, for the JEE Main Architecture & Planning course, candidates have to score at least 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. They also require 50% marks in an aggregate of the qualifying examination. NTA has launched the application form on 1 March on the official website. Applicants should check the eligibility criteria before filling out the application form.
JEE Main Exam Date
NTA has launched the JEE Main 2022 application form at jeemain.nta.nic.in The final date to fill out the registration form is 31 March, and session 1 will be on 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, and 21 April. Whereas session 2 is happening on 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, and 29 May.
JEE Advanced 2022 Criteria Relaxation:
JEE Advanced 2022 form is going to be available on 8 June. Candidates will be capable of registering for the JEE Advanced 2022 until 14 June. Applicants who passed their class 12th examination in 2022/2021, registered for the JEE Advanced exam 2021, and couldn’t appear for the same are also eligible to appear this time. As per the official notification, relaxation is implemented due to the ongoing pandemic.
