JEE Main 23rd June 2022 Shift 1 Question Paper Analysis
As the first session of exam day 1 concludes, here's the JEE Main 2022 Paper Analysis on the B.Arch & B.Planning exams.
The Joint Entrance Examinations began today, June 23. There were 2 subjects’ exams today. One was B.Arch and the other – B.Planning. Be that as it may, there were 2 shifts for students to take the entrance test. The first shift of the exam was between 9 AM to 12 noon. The second shift starts at 3 PM and will end at 6 PM. JEE Main 2022 Paper Analysis: B.Arch & B.Planning
Since the exams this year will be computer-based, the analysis is based on students’ memory. For both exams, the paper comprised 400 marks. There were 2 common sections in both exams, i.e., Mathematics & Aptitude Test. However, the 3rd sections were different. For B.Arch, the third included a drawing test, whereas the 3rd section of the B.Planning exam included planning-based questions. Find the initial analysis of the exams below.
B.Arch Paper Analysis (2A)
The exam can be classified into 3 parts. Analysis for each below:
Part 1: Mathematics – Section I of the Mathematics part comprised 20 MCQ questions. Students had to attempt all. The 2nd section included 10 numerical questions, out of which students had to attempt any 5.
Regarding the marking scheme, the authorities will reward the students with 4 marks for each correct answer and -1 for each incorrect answer. However, they will not receive nor lose any marks for not attempting.
In addition, students claimed that a few questions were tough. Moreover, they regarded the Mathematics Part of the exam as slightly difficult.
Part 2: Aptitude Test – There were 50 MCQs in this part of the exam. Out of the 400 total marks in the exam, this part comprised 200. Be that as it may, the marking scheme remains the same (as the mathematics part) for this part of the exam. Students stated that the aptitude test was considerably easier than the mathematics part.
Part 3: Drawing Test – There were only 2 questions in this part. However, each comprised 50 marks. The students regarded it as easy-to-moderate as far as the difficulty was concerned.
B.Planning Paper Analysis (2B)
Since the first 2 parts of both exams were the same, the analysis remains the same. Check Part 3 analysis below:
Part 1 & Part 2: Analysis similar to B.Arch Paper 1 & 2.
Part 3: Questions on Planning – This part included 25 MCQ-type questions. The questions were based on ‘Infrastructure Development Finance Company. Each question was for 4 marks, thereby making the value of this part 100 marks. Students were rewarded full 4 marks on correct answers and lost 1 for incorrect answers. Furthermore, no marks were awarded or deducted for not attempting.
