JEE Mains Results 2022: How Ranks will be Calculated?
JEE Mains 2022 scores shared by NTA are normalized scores based on the relative performance of students who appeared for the exam in a particular session.
The marks obtained are then converted into a scale ranging from 100 to 0 for each session of examinees. It is not the same as the percentage of marks obtained.
In the final rank list, marks from both sessions will be considered, and the ranks will be released, considering the best of the two NTA scores according to the policy of the NTA.
NTA first considers scores in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry. After that, the below-given order is followed:
- Candidates with fewer incorrect answers than correct ones in all of the exam’s subjects come next.
- Candidates with less proportion of a number of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in Mathematics,
- Then comes less proportion of a number of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in Physics
- Lastly, less proportion of the number of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in Chemistry.
NOTE: If there is a tie, candidates who are older in age and application numbers in ascending order will be considered in the ranking.
