The Karnataka School Education Department has released the hall ticket for the Karnataka Teachers Eligibility Test (KARTET) 2021 today, 13 August. Hence, candidates can now download their admit cards online on the official website, schooleducation.kar.nic.in. However, registered candidates must first log into the portal to access the hall ticket. Board officials have requested applicants to print out several physical copies of the admit card well before the examination day. Invigilators will not allow students to write the competitive examination without a valid hall ticket ID proof on hand.
The admit card access facility is available wholly online due to COVID-19 constraints. Hence, officials will not mail physical copies of hall tickets to candidates this year. The board has advised applicants to check their admit cards thoroughly for errors. In case of any discrepancies, students should contact the examination board as soon as possible. Applicants must strictly adhere to mandated COVID-19 safety measures, such as wearing masks and adequate social distancing.
The Karnataka TET will take place in an offline testing mode for two and a half hours on 22 August 2021. The exam facilitates the recruitment of teachers for classes one through eight. In addition, the assessment will be available in seven languages – Kannada, Tamil, Marathi, English, Urdu, Telugu, and Hindi. Moreover, officials have separated the examination into two separate papers. Firstly, paper 1 is for candidates who wish to teach classes one to 5. Meanwhile, paper 2 is for those willing to teach students from classes 6 to 8. Each paper will consist of multiple-choice questions assessing topics such as Language, Mathematics, etc., for a total of 150 marks.
