KCET Document Verification 2022 Postponed Again: Latest Updates Here
As the case regarding the KCET 2022 ranking for repeaters is pending in the Karnataka HC, the KCET document verification 2022 will be further delayed.
KCET Document Verification 2022: As the case regarding the KCET ranking for repeaters is pending in the Karnataka High court, the KCET Document Verification 2022 will be further delayed. The KEA had assigned 8 August as the KCET document verification date 2022, which was postponed when the petition was filed in the HC. Following the court orders after the 8 August hearing of the case, the counseling process has been stayed until further orders. The court has now adjourned the hearing till 18 August.
The petition is against the method of ranking the KEA plans to use for repeaters of KCET this year. A KEA note said that the students who passed the PUC II exam in 2021 would not be considered for the KCET ranking. Instead, their ranks will be determined solely by their KCET 2022 Scores, as was the case in KCET 2021. However, the PUC II marks of 2022 pass-outs will be considered on a 50%-50% weightage basis with KCET scores. The repeater students who filed the petition claim that the two different ranking methods will amount to discrimination. Further, they demand that the ranking method be the same as that of the regular students.

Currently, the counseling process has been stayed by court orders at least till 18 August. It will only resume when the court issues further orders or after the final verdict on the case.
