KEA Seat Cancellation Penalty Charges Cancelled for Engineering Candidates
The candidates who cancel their seat in the KCET Counselling 2023 final rounds will not have to pay the KEA Seat Cancellation Penalty.
KEA Seat Cancellation Penalty: The Karnataka Examination Authority has announced that those candidates who cancel their seat allocation in the last round of KCET Counselling 2023 will not have to pay the penalty. Previously, a KEA Seat Cancellation Penalty, which was 5 times the usual cancellation fee, was announced for candidates who cancelled their seat allotted in the last round.
S. Ramya, the executive director of the KEA, made the announcement regarding the KCET Penalty. As per the announcement, the penalty already paid by candidates will be refunded to them after subtracting the course fee. The candidates will receive the refund of the KEA Seat Cancellation Penalty starting on Nov 2. To avail the refund of the penalty fee, the candidates must report at the KEA office with the required documents.

Furthermore, those candidates who have been allotted a seat in the KCET Counselling 2023 for the academic year 2023-24 and wish to cancel the admission must secure their cancellation letters by Oct 25. Such candidates will have to pay a KEA Penalty fixed by the government in the form of a Demand draft.
