Kerala Plus One Board Examination 2021 Guidelines Released
Kerala government released the Kerala Plus One exam 2021 guidelines for the upcoming board assessments, that are taking place amid COVID-19.
The Directorate of Higher Secondary Education will conduct the Kerala plus one board examination offline, starting on 24 September 2021. As the assessments will take place in-person, the state’s education ministry has issued guidelines with consideration for the COVID-19 pandemic. Therefore, students must follow the stated guidelines on the examination day in an effort to curtail the spread of the virus.
Earlier, authorities made preparations for the in-person assessments after a review meeting conducted by the state’s Education Minister, V Sivankutty. The meeting concluded that examination officials must enforce safety measures strictly to ensure the safety of students and staff. In addition, the board has started cleaning drives and sanitization procedures at the testing locations.
Guidelines for Kerala Plus One Exams 2021
The state government has directed all board-affiliated schools to clean and sanitise their examination rooms, furniture, and surrounding premises by 22 September 2021. They have also asked school officials to make separate arrangements for COVID-19 positive students or those who have high body temperatures. Furthermore, the Chief Superintendent plans to provide PPE kits for all symptomatic students while taking the exam.
In addition, administrative staff will conduct thermal screening of all candidates at the entrance of the schools. Students can enter the examination hall only after being screened. Moreover, candidates cannot share items such as stationery, water bottles, etc., on the examination day. All participants within the assessment location must follow government-issued guidelines such as wearing masks at all times and maintaining adequate social distancing.
