Kerala University officials have postponed the 2021 postgraduate entrance exam. Initially, the examinations were scheduled to begin on 15 July 2021 but will start on 1 August 2021. The reason behind the postponement is due to constraints placed on in-person assessments during the pandemic. Additionally, the exam board will conduct exams for the M.Tech undergraduate programme on 1 August 2021. Officials will conduct the exams based on the revised schedule in the Kerala state districts of Trivandrum, Ernakulam and Kozhikode.
The entrance exams will have a duration of two hours, with both multiple-choice and descriptive questions. First, candidates must answer sixty multiple-choice questions in total for sixty marks. Then, the descriptive section of the examination will carry forty marks. Additionally, there are 12 descriptive questions, and students must attempt eight out of the twelve. Moreover, each descriptive question answered is worth five marks.
Kerala University has closed the PG admissions application window on 30 June 2021. Additionally, applications for Kerala University undergraduate and postgraduate merit-based programmes will open soon. Officials will conduct PG admissions based on entrance examination performance and academic qualifications. However, candidates applying for Kerala University affiliated programmes will obtain seats based on merit. Candidates with queries can refer to the university’s official website for further details.
