LPU Joins NIRF 2021 Top 25 Ranks for Law Architecture and Pharmacy

Lovely Professional University (LPU) has received astounding placement rankings in the NIRF 2021 report. Notably, LPU has succeeded in obtaining the top 25 ranked positions for its Architecture, Pharmacy, and Law colleges this year. In addition, the LPU engineering school’s placement rank has soared far ahead of other notable institutes such as IIT Mandi, NIT Silchar, IIIT Allahabad, and Birla Institute of Technology Ranchi.

Lovely Professional University’s Chancellor, Ashok Mittal, had voiced congratulations to the institute on this achievement. As quoted, “NIRF are the defining rankings of educational institutes in the country, and we are proud to have our Architecture, Pharmacy and Law Schools feature amongst the Top 25 in the country. Some of our other schools have also done very well, including the Mittal School of Business, which has featured 37th among all the management schools in the country, including the IIMs and Engineering Faculty, which is ahead of many of the IITs and NITs. An almost 20% jump in our ranking is proof that we are headed in the right direction.”

Here are the highlights from the NIRF rankings:

• The university’s Mittal School of Management has placed 37th in the nation’s ranking list for management colleges, along with the IIMs. 
• The Engineering school has jumped 21 places from 87th rank last year to 66th rank this year. 
• LPU continues to stand within the top hundred of all Indian higher education institutions at 62nd place.

NIRF 2021 Placements for LPU Schools

Earlier, Indian Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan publicly announced the release of this year’s NIRF report. The National Institutional Ranking Framework has been put into place annually since September 2015 by MHRD. The nationally formulated ranking list uses five holistic classification categories to analyse each institution. These parameters include Teaching, Learning, and Resources (TLR), Research and Professional Practises (RP), Graduation Outcomes (GO), Outreach and Inclusivity (OI) and Perception (PR). Afterwards, researchers will assign aggregate scores to each university and divide them into nine separate disciplinary categories.
