MICAT 2022 Selection Procedure
All students will be judged on 3 basic parameters for admission. More importantly, everyone needs to acknowledge that no permissible quotas are allocated for admission. Hence, any source claiming to do so is invalid. The four parameters, however, include:
- MICAT (Mica Admission Test) (30%) – the examination comprises three sections. These include section A, a psychometric test, section B, a descriptive test, and section C, which is based on knowledge of general affairs, data interpretation, convergent and divergent thinking, and verbal and quantitative ability.
- CAT/XAT/GMAT (20%) – it is compulsory for all candidates to have taken at least one of these entrance tests.
- Group Exercise & Personal Interview (20% + 30%) – after being shortlisted by their performance on the parameters described above, students are called for a round of GE/PI. This round will take place in Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, and Kolkata.
Admission is only granted based on merit. All applicants can appear for both MICAT 1 & 2. However, their best score would be applicable when deciding their candidacy. If a student clears the criteria for admission, they will be accepted.
Moreover, if an applicant who opted for both PGDM-C and PGDM is selected, they have to withdraw their application from their second choice. However, if they receive admission on their second choice, they can either withdraw their application from the primary choice or choose to remain on the waiting list. April 15, 2022, is the date of the final announcement of admission. You can enter your credentials on their official website and check your MICAT 2022 final results.
