NEET 2021 Results Update; Supreme Court Rules Against Postponement
The Supreme Court has overruled a petition requesting the postponement of the declaration of UG NEET 2021 results today, 28 October 2021.
The Supreme Court has overruled a petition requesting the postponement of NEET 2021 results today, 28 October 2021. Earlier, the Bombay High Court heard a petition requesting the delay of results in favour of two students. However, the Supreme Court took over and vetoed the proposition, stating that the board cannot delay scores for 16 lakh participants for the sake of two candidates. Furthermore, the SC stated that they will make any further decisions regarding the two students on hold until after the Diwali holidays.
Previously, the National Testing Agency affirmed that scorecards for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test are ready for release. Additionally, the board announced that the delay is merely due to the Bombay HC. SC officials have now allowed the NTA to proceed with declaration procedures. Therefore, the examination board will publish this year’s UG results shortly. Due to the prompt response, the upcoming admissions counselling procedures will likely not face a delay.

The marks will be available entirely online through the board’s official website, neet.nta.nic.in. Applicants will be able to view their results after publication by logging into the website’s candidate portal with their roll number and DOB. The scorecards will contain important information such as subject-wise percentage, total marks scored, overall ranking, AIR, and category rank. Afterwards, qualified candidates will receive invitations to this year’s admissions counselling process. Shortlisted students can then obtain admissions to affiliated undergraduate medical programmes such as MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BUMS, BSMS, and BHMS.
