NEET 2022 Registrations Open: Know Your Suitable Qualification Code

NTA has commenced NEET UG 2022 registrations. The last date for registration for NEET registration is May 6. Meanwhile, candidates must also choose a suitable qualification code while applying. Therefore, candidates must properly understand what a qualification code is.
What is the NEET 2022 Qualification Code?
The registration form inquires about each student’s qualifications whilst giving the exam. For this purpose, NEET has a section called qualification code. It refers to the qualifying examination level that the aspirant has passed before giving the exam. NEET 2022 contains seven qualification codes, which are described ahead.
- Exam Code 1 – Aspirants sitting for class 12th or waiting for results will have to select this code.
- Exam Code 2 – This code is applicable for aspirants who have completed 12 years of schooling under higher/secondary education or ICSE board. They must have studied subjects like any from PCB (physics, chemistry, biology/biotechnology) or English as a major subject.
- Exam Code 3 – Aspirants who have PCB and English in their intermediate/pre-degree exams as compulsory subjects must choose this code. Also, this must be under a recognised Indian University/board.
- Exam Code 4 – Candidates choosing this code must have completed the pre-professional or pre-medical exam, besides chemistry, biology & English, after class 12. Additionally, practical tests must also be included in the qualifications.
- Exam Code 5 – Anyone completing the first year of a bachelor’s degree from a recognised institution can choose this code. Their course must include practical tests in PCB.
- Exam Code 6 – Applicable for students who have passed Bachelor of Science with PCB.
- Exam Code 7 – This is applicable for students studying in any other board equivalent to 10+2 of the Indian education system. They must have studied PCB. Also, they must have passed the practical tests as well.
